Modello, born July 10, 1990, is a versatile musical artist for his generation. His sound is shaped from some of the hottest legends in today’s music industry. As a child, Modello grew up in the Englewood area of Chicago, surrounded by the ever-present drugs and gang violence. Modello attended Granville T. Woods Academy, an elementary school located on the south side near the 6200 block of Racine. During his elementary school years, he started writing his own lyrics, being influenced by some of today’s well-known artists including Jay Z, 2 Pac, and Fabolous.
He continued writing over the years while attending Argo Community High School and started to evolve into a hip hop music artist. As a freshman and sophomore, Modello expanded his passion and took part in talent shows with one of his close friends. He then later transferred to Thornridge High School during his junior year, where he remained until graduation.
After graduation, Modello got into modeling at the age of 17, which was a major way to start his fan base and entertainment career. For the next several years, he traveled often between the big cities of New York, LA, and Chicago and surrounding areas perfecting his craft. Modello used his life experiences from the various regions to influence his different sounds. With his success on the rise, Modello has returned to his roots in Chicago and is back to finish what he started as a hip hop artist.
Modello is on radio rotation with the track, “Pin Up”.
