For Hip Hop Soul Recording Artist, Mahogany Jones, there is more to music then hype and swag. Her lyrics empower listeners’ minds to explore deeper societal issues and inspire them to be better. With a mature taste and an enthusiasm for lyricism, she stands out as an original and passionate artist who is true to her brand and message. Hitting ‘play’ on her songs feels like walking on a journey with her.

She combines her vibrant nature and strong lyrical ability to convey a message that most folks relate to. On stage, she switches up and delivers performances that fans live to remember. Her writing process is rendered successful when the result is an experience that allows listeners to explore their depths within and be vulnerable, thus yielding to change.

Her authentic style and distinctive music has seen her perform alongside Karriem Riggins, Elzhi, Talib Kweli, The Roots, Rapsody, and Les Nubians to name a few and placed her on festival stages such as Detroit’s International Jazz Festival, A3C, and SxSW. Initially famed as a former undefeated 4 timed BET 106 and Park Freestyle Friday Champion, Mahogany Jones since has founded a women’s advocacy foundation – a PURE movement, to empower women and girls, has toured as a US Musical/Cultural Ambassador globally for 13 countries spanning across 4 continents, and been a TED X Speaker.

With her age and experience, Mahogany is confident and appreciative of her own journey thus far. Her previous albums with long time producer “I-ronic-Lee” of What’s the Irony Productions“Morphed”, “PURE” and “Sugar Water”, indeed reflect the essence of her sound. However,  as a new wife and mother, Mahogany, teamed with her husband and Executive Producer, Dre Marshall, in conjunction with The Thirties, have managed to shape a new sound that is a fresh rebirth of her recent self-exploration.

Her latest release, “Black Girl Magic”, embodies this newness. It is a celebratory anthem “with a bop” that is infectious, in which she passionately appreciates Black women. She explains it as, “Summertime sunshine and coconut oil on your skin, baby hair, laid edges and everything mystical about Black women.” In 2022 Mahogany Jones has released 2 singles “Work” & her latest release “Strong Friends / Weak Friends”.
