Some people are just born to shine and Savvy Sav is proving he’s one of them. Emerging straight from the heart of the Crenshaw and Slauson District, this rising star is making waves with his hustle, talent, and undeniable West Coast flavor.
Originally born in Houston, Texas, Savvy Sav also known as “Young Savvy” relocated to Los Angeles as a teenager, ultimately planting his roots in Crenshaw. Much like the late Nipsey Hussle, to whom he’s often compared, Savvy built his music career from the ground up: selling CDs out of his trunk, pushing his sound through the streets, and creating his own lane.
Fusing West Coast vibes with Dirty South influences, Savvy has crafted a sound that’s both authentic and refreshing. With five studio albums already released, he’s currently hard at work on his sixth project, Streets of LA.
His latest single, “Hips Rocc” featuring SKG (Helecia Choyce) a fellow Crenshaw native and one of the area’s standout female emcees is already generating buzz. The track captures Savvy’s evolving style while staying true to his streetwise roots and raw energy.
