The track “Cherish Life” features the sophisticated and soulful voice of Ashling Cole. This inspiring and uplifting song was written for a Tracie Collins Production stage play (in 2014) “Girlfriend Chronicles”.
The stage play chronicled the life of three girlfriends, one of which was trying to tell her friends that she was terminally ill. One of the friends was actually portrayed by Ashling Cole. Now in 2021, Nona invites Ashling to be a featured vocalist at her live recording session, where Ashling showcases the full aptitude of her vocal cords, delivering a performance of immense impact, in both nuanced vocal expression and soul-filling emotion.
A testament not only to the power of faith but also the possibilities of collaboration, “Cherish Life” is a single that preaches not simply to the converted but to all the fans of life itself. MORE ABOUT NONA BROWN: The San Francisco Bay Area native, Nona Brown has worked with Josh Groban as choir coordinator for his Northern California tour, guest vocalist and composer on three national recordings of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, guest vocalist at Oprah Winfrey’s Legends Ball and group member of gospel music legend, the late Edwin Hawkins and the New Edwin Hawkins Singers.
